Lonely Yew. Been meaning to shoot this Yew for a while now, so took advantage of the clement weather yesterday and walked the 2 or so miles to the top of the hill where it lives. Although dating Yews is not a precise science, they reach a stable size and stop growing, but one estimate claims that 1 foot for every 30 years. This tree is knocking on for 15 feet in girth, that would give it an age of around 450 years, give or take a few decades. If only trees could talk… :)
