Greetings from me, Sam! I’m a photographer living in deepest darkest England. I’m a bit nomadic in my photographic style, 2011 was very much taken up entirely by Infrared photography, where as 2010 was a year of portraits. I shoot mainly in digital but have a long lived relationship with film; being involved in the process from loading the film to developing is a pleasure that digital will never eclipse.
Although I always try not to let other peoples work influence my own too much, I am into the work of Francesca Woodman -a relatively new fascination, J M Cameron, Atget, Lady Hawarden and Irving Penn.
Oh, and by the way… All images copyright of Sam Irvine Photography unless stated!
